Atışmaya dönmesin mısralarım,
Ben bu konuda fakir fukarayım,
Dedim birkaç satır karalayayım,
Müsadenizle ben şimdi ayrılayım.

bizim köyde bağ bahçe yeşermiş
insanlar yanılır şaşar beşermiş
herkes kazdığı kuyuya düşermiş
sen yoma güzel başını hemşerim

babacım beni derinden üzdün
sivasla sitenin gonca gülüsün
yetiyordu bize bir tek gülüşün
kim kırdı söyle vereyin sözün.

sivasta ben halaycı başıyım
ilimin yurdumun temel teşıyım
aşık sefilin yoldaşı ve eşiyim
atışmaz laf oldu ayşime bacım takma boş ver işte köyümdeyim
